Concrete structure designing was broadly discussed during my studies. The subject, carried by prof. Andrzej Winnicki, covered designing concrete beams, columns, slabs and walls. In this particular project I had to solve the problem of dimensioning parking garage reinforcement. I used 3D model done in Robot to obtain maps of bending moments in a flat slab and forces in columns, also taking into consideration peak reduction in the results. Next I calculated two way reinforcement in the flat slab and symmetrical reinforcement in the corner column subjected to biaxial bending. The project was finished after making finial shop drawings in AutoCAD.
